All who knew Scott will remember his vibrant spirit and cherish the wonderful memories made together.Ī family visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Reading on October 15, 2022, from 10:00am - 11:00am. He is also survived by two nephews, one niece, and their families. Scott’s spirit will be carried on by his daughter Lauren Schwartz, of Reading, PA daughter Alison Lentz and her husband Cody, of Linthicum, MD sister Jackie Haas and her husband Jon brother Henry Schwartz and his wife Jayne and brother Ralph Schwartz. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, playing board games, and performing magic tricks for a captive audience. During his retirement, Scott became a hobbyist with interests in gardening and woodworking. In 2008, Scott became the Associate Principal at Governor Mifflin Middle School until his retirement. He always beamed with pride as his students shared their gift of music with their families and the community. Scott worked tirelessly to share his love of music with thousands of students throughout his twenty-year tenure. His passion for teaching and helping students to succeed was evident from the moment you met him. Scott was the proud director of the 7th and 8th Grade Choirs and Show Choir. Scott was the Middle School Choir Director at Governor Mifflin Middle School in Shillington, PA, from 1988-2008. After graduating from Berklee, Scott began his career as a Music Teacher and Choir Director at First Baptist Church of Reading. As a Wyomissing High School Graduate, Scott continued his education at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Born on May 22,1960, in Reading, PA, Scott was the son of the late Nicholas and Margaret Schwartz. Scott Allen Schwartz, 62, of Reading, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. ![]()
